They were forced to leave college, but instead of drifting apart, they found themselves drawn together once again. Long calls stretched late into the night, filled with shared laughter and deep conversations when everything else felt uncertain.Spring brought warmth back into the world, and with it came a closeness that felt natural, inevitable. They weren’t just friends anymore. They were becoming something deeper.Dating didn’t start with a dramatic confession. It started with comfort—realizing they missed each other when they weren’t talking, and realizing how happy they felt in each other’s company.After Eliza moved to Maryland, the distance between them transformed—from miles that felt endless to a short drive filled with anticipation, butterflies, and the sweetest reunions.Their first dates were supposed to be simple and sweet—walks outside, strawberry picking, a picnic in the park. But life had other plans. An unexpected thunderstorm washed all those ideas away, turning their day into something even better: Top Golf, laughter echoing through the rain, and long late‑night conversations in the backseat of the truck.During Top Golf, Eliza felt a little embarrassed to show her swing since it was her first time trying it.
